Andrew arrived in Thailand on October 11, 2022.
Hello! I am a pianist, organist, oboist, and composer raised in Massachusetts. I just finished my second year of music performance at Andrews University studying piano.
My story begins at seven years old, when I received my first piano lessons. It was a long and arduous musical journey, within which I picked up oboe and organ along the way, because I never really understood the joy of it inside the framework of the discipline that surrounds building up a craft such as music. It was only until high school that the passion ignited within me and I fell in love with the act of experiencing music, creating it and living within it. Since then, I have been dedicated to seeking out the beauty and feeling within this medium and presenting it to others in a way that they may be able to experience what I did too! Music is a powerful tool in that it appeals so strongly to everyone in the world–despite style discrepancies, it truly is a universal language.
In the past year, I have been seeking out my personal faith more than ever in my life, and I had heard the call for missionary work many times before. I had never answered because I never imagined it would be for me, but in the mysterious way that God works, I answered the call this year and decided to take action for His work in the world! I seek to combine these two passions of mine, music and faith, into a transformative ministry through Peace Music Academy to reach the unreached among Thailand. I am looking forward to a year of serving people!
