IYMC believes that music and music education will play a key role in spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth. We believe that music can be a powerful entering wedge to bring people into the church. IYMC sends music missionaries to locations in the United States and overseas to provide high-quality music education for young people. Missionaries provide performance and pedagogical training while being a Christlike example to their students. The missionaries’ advanced musical ability combined with the evangelistic training they will receive will equip them to comprehensively spread the gospel during their term of service.

How is Iymc different from other missionary programs?
IYMC is unique in that it provides true long term music missionary opportunities. There are very few mission programs that offer positions for musicians and, usually, the music portion of the mission trip does not receive much focus. The IYMC team is made up of both lay and professional musicians with experience in all aspects of music and music ministry. Together they have been able to create a program that will prep missionaries to provide excellent music education to young people around the world.
I have just graduated from college with a music degree. Can I be a career missionary through your program?
Yes! IYMC has connections with organizations in the U.S. and overseas that are looking for a full time music teachers. This is an especially great opportunity for those with a degree in Music Education.
I am a high school student and I feel that God is calling me to the mission field after graduating. Is this the right program for me?
Yes! Our program is unique in that it not only provides the opportunity to serve with music, but it also provides music education and mentorship to its missionaries.
I am past college age. Can I be a missionary through IYMC?
Absolutely! Our program is open to candidates 18 years and older.
Does IYMC only service Seventh-day Adventist Institutions?
Not at all! IYMC offers its services to any organizations that wish to receive music education with a spiritual emphasis.
