Mezzo Track

Performance Class, Orchestra
Please submit a two-minute video of yourself playing a scale and a section of a polished piece on your instrument. The video must be of good quality showing the full upper body, including hands. The video should begin by saying your name and the title of your piece. Please DO NOT submit church or group performance videos.

Practice Class
Please submit a three-minute video of yourself practicing a piece you are still learning and have not fully mastered. This is NOT a performance! You are not expected to play through the piece perfectly. Instead, the goal is to see how you currently work through problems in your practice sessions and what practice strategies you currently use, if any. Simply record yourself during one of your normal practice sessions. The video must be of good quality showing the full upper body, including hands. Piano Improv
Please submit a two-minute of yourself improvising on a hymn. The video must be of good quality showing the full upper body, including hands. If the student can not improvise please email auditions.iymc@gmail.com.

Chord Theory
Students will take an online placement exam.

Teen Track

All Students
Please submit a video of yourself playing a scale and a portion of a polished piece on every instrument (including voice) you plan on using during camp. The video must be of good quality showing the full upper body, including hands. The video should begin by saying your name and the title of your piece. Please DO NOT submit church or group performance videos. If planning on using multiple instruments during camp, auditions can be submitted as multiple videos or one video. Each video should not exceed 3 minutes.

Congregational Piano Playing
Please submit a two-minute of yourself playing a hymn as if you were leading the congregation in song service, with any embellishments you would like. The video must be of good quality showing the full upper body, including hands. If the student can not improvise please email auditions.iymc@gmail.com.
