Help Us Get Our Missionaries To Thailand
My name is Tiffany Steinweg. I am a violinist and music teacher who recently graduated from Andrews University with a degree in music performance. It is my passion to empower people of all ages to experience their God-given value and potential, especially through music education.
Back in 2015-16 I accepted a call through Adventist Frontier Missions (AFM) to serve as a violin teacher at Peace Music Academy (PMA) in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Not only was I privileged to mentor over 30 young violin students during my time there, but I also encountered opportunities for teaching English and youth/young adult ministry. Following that extremely challenging but rewarding year, I returned to Michigan to finish my music degree, but have continued to hold a special place in my heart for the people and country of Thailand.
Although my original plan for this Fall (2020) was to begin my master’s degree at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM), I still didn’t have complete assurance after graduation that this was where God was calling me. I began seriously praying for guidance at the beginning of this month (July), and right away received a call from IYMC presenting me with the urgent need of PMA for a violin teacher. A few days later, I learned about the option CCM is offering to its incoming students (due to covid-19) to defer for one or two semesters before beginning their degree. This would allow me to postpone starting my master’s for one year while I go teach at PMA. After more prayer, fasting, and consideration of the circumstances, I have decided to answer this call to serve the people of Thailand once more.
While it may have been the last thing I expected to happen this year, I am excited for the opportunity to return to PMA to help maintain and strengthen the violin program. I pray that God may use me to share His light and love in a powerful way throughout this journey.
